After we moved in we put up some chair railing molding and painted the top half of the walls grey and the bottom portion a plum color. (In fact, we loved the plum color soo much, it is now adorning the walls in our landing as well.) The paint colors will be staying in the office, but that is about all!
The room started out so nice and organized. We have two desk areas, one for the computer and one for my craftiness. We have a book shelf for all the books, our newly made household binders (look for a post about those in the future), and my Cricut magazines. There is an organizational cube system that we bought at Target several years ago in the closet. I use it to hold my crafting supplies and larger books. Those are the items in the room that used to have specific purposes. Now however, they are holding more junk and misplaced items than those items they were intended to hold. It is downright embarrassing. In fact, when we have people over I close the door! No one should have to see this craziness. Except for you apparently... here's a picture.
YIKES! Ohmygosh! Pardon me while I crawl into a hole now and never (ever) come out! Fortunately, I have some wonderful plans for this space. And it starts with going through every piece of paper, craft supply, bobble head and what ever else may be hiding in those piles and getting rid of some stuff! I'm planning on using several boxes/piles to organize items into: donate, keep, wrong room, and trash. I should be done in just under a century! Wish me luck!
