Anyway, back to the husband. We met while working for a minor league baseball team in Maryland. He was an intern just graduating college. I was working in the merchandise booth and getting ready to graduate high school. Our boss had Christian in the merchandise booth whenever possible. Apparently he knew we were meant to be.... On weekends there would be fireworks after the games. We always tried to catch them together, but it never worked out. He was always stuck in the booth counting pennies while I would watch the fireworks. When the season ended, Christian landed a job in my hometown. While he moved in downtown, I settled into my dorm room 40 minutes away. We kept in touch for the next few months while we both saw other people. Finally I decided that he was what I wanted. So I trailed him for roughly two years before he decided I was what he wanted. I graduated college and we moved to North Carolina, where we currently reside. We have been here for four years and are loving it! Christian proposed on July 4th, 2010 under the fireworks, we finally got to see them together! We got married in June 2011 on the beach at the Outer Banks. We have a wonderful relationship where we laugh on an hourly basis. Our only argument point... rugs. He has horrid taste in rugs! Deal breaker... not really!
I work as a full time nanny for a great family with three children. The littlest one starts kindergarten this year, so I will be going part time. I have a few options for when that time comes. My main goal is to start my own wedding planning business. I love everything about weddings, especially beach weddings! Christian currently works at a famous golf course as a caddie. He enjoys the work but is looking for something more permanent in his journalism profession. Fingers crossed!
I love crafting, especially making cards and invitations using my Cricut. I love Disney World, which has led to my love of running. If you enjoy Disney and running, do a half or full marathon at Disney World. You won't be disappointed! I ran the Princess Half Marathon and the Tower of Terror in 2013. Amazing! I will be running the Princess again in 2014 and hopefully the Disneyland Half Marathon also.
We have slowly been fixing up our house, diy project by diy project. Christian and I are avid Penguins fans. Hence naming our dog Crosby. We enjoy the beach, camping, watching movies, traveling and so much more!
My dream is to own a Bed and Breakfast in the Outer Banks and plan beach weddings!
