January Review and February Preview

Can you believe January is over?! Where do the days go?

Well, we have had a decent start to the new year. We had some ups and some downs. First off, we have started the spare bathroom renovations (more on that soon!). It is not completely finished but it is looking good so far.

I signed up for the Half Marathon Weekend in Disneyland at the end of August. This will allow me to be eligible for the Disney Coast to Coast medal! So excited for that!

We got two inches of snow. Ugh... The schools down here were cancelled for four days! One of those was the day BEFORE we even got any show! Crazy south...

Unfortunately, we also both got sick this past month at different times. Christian is still getting over his. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come, as we rarely get sick, and this month we were both hit pretty hard.

We don't have too much going in February. Hopefully that will allow us to finish up some projects around the house. First off is finishing the spare bathroom. Can't wait to see it totally done! It will be quite an upgrade from those spirals.

Valentine's Day will be upon us before we know it! We usually stay in and do our own fondue. It is always super yummy! I'm thinking of trying some new fondue recipes. If I do, I'll post them (if they are worthy!).

Our friend and best man from our wedding, Sean, will be coming to visit, as well as his dad. It's always a good time having Sean around. Looking forward to that!

The last weekend in February, we are heading down to Disney World for the Princess Half Marathon. I have been struggling with my running lately, a bit of runner's knee. Here's to hoping I can push through it and get the time I want at the race! It will be a long weekend, with us driving the nine or so hours down on Saturday and then back again on Sunday. My race starts at 5:50 am on Sunday! Yikes, that's early! Totally worth it when they put that medal around your neck though!

Hmmm... now that I wrote it all out, that does seem like a pretty busy month! We are looking forward to all these events and more!
