Oh my goodness! Can you believe we are almost through the month of January already! Time sure does fly by! Well, Happy New Year just the same!
This year is going to be a big one for Christian and I. So many wonderful things are happening and some things that are making us rather nervous also. It will be a year of transition for the both of us.
We are so excited that we will soon have new titles, aunt and uncle! A (no doubt) beautiful baby girl will be joining the family around May. We cannot wait to head up to New York to meet her!
At the end of February we will be heading down to Disney World, which has been my second home lately! I will be completing the Princess Half Marathon for the second time. I am so excited and am looking forward to shaving some minutes off of last year's time. I hope to do this race every year. I am also looking into heading out west to Disneyland in August to complete the Disneyland Half Marathon. For completing both half marathons on opposite coasts, I would receive Disney's Coast to Coast medal. I want it... I want it bad! So hopefully that works out!
We are also planning a trip we have been wanting to do for years! A two week tour overseas. We are hoping to hit Paris, London and Ireland. Maybe more! We have a lot of research to do to plan this trip and we are just getting started.
Christian has hopes of competing in some golf tournaments this year. He doesn't have any scheduled yet, but I am sure there will be several.
We are both entering transitions with our jobs. The littlest in the family I work for will be starting kindergarten in the summer so I will be going part time in the afternoons. I knew this time was coming and have thought about what I would do. I have been taking a wedding planning course for a while now. I am on the last unit. Once that is completed, I will have my certificate. I am looking to get into day-of wedding coordination at the beginning. Getting my comfort and confidence levels up before I dive into full wedding planning. I would love to plan weddings over at the Outer Banks as much as possible!
Christian works as a golf caddie at Pinehurst. They will be holding the US Open in June. After the tournament is over the main course will be closed down for a while. His number of loops will surely go down during that time. He is looking for a new job and hopes to have one to transition into before the caddie season starts. Fingers crossed!
So to sum it all up, this will be a year of new beginnings for us. We are looking forward to everything that the year has to offer. Hopefully we will have time to slow down and enjoy it all!
